I bought two of these for 29.00 shipped.

The first thing that I didn't like was that there was no magnetic base, but later found out that's an upgrade.

The flow is simi directional, its a wide pattern but a good chunk is directed out the center. The flow is nice and strong, There was some left over sand in the tank maybe less then 1/4 a cup. As soon as I plugged it in 70% of this sand found its way to one spot, The rest of the sand took about 24 hours to find its way.

With a single pump I can dump some sinking food and its pushed all the way across the tank, regardless of how far to the side of the power head I drop it.

There is a slight noise but I can't hear it unless my head is over the top of the tank, I can't hear it in front or behind the tank.

I have never had a Tunze or a Hydor So I can't be a truly good reviewer. I can say that If I place them both on the bottom of the tank one on the left side pointing straight across, and one on the right side pointing at 45 angle I can see using flake food a nice circulation.

I can say that for 30 bucks I have gotten a decent flow, If they last 2 years then I guess I got a good deal.
