and i also want to make a diy filter for this pond and im going to alter the dimentions to 5x5x1.5 in circle for maximum capacity and the stock list is 2 channel catfish and some goldfish from the bait shop that are colorful. anyone know how to give me any tips for a diy filter? what i was going to do is get a 20 gallon tub and poke alot of holes in the bottom and put some screen around the holes and then fill it half way with river rock and then the other half with body scrubbers and take a tube and run it from the filter and into the top and stack rocks around it so it looks more natural. the plants will prob be some hornwort and lilly pads from a local pond so what do u guys think? i could really use some advice ive never done a large diy filter before( i made a soda bottle ond for my 5.5) and ive never had a large pond so the capacity i calculate it is 308 gallon (pond calculator on pondbiz.com) so any tips guys?
