hello gals and gents

just wanted to say hello i am a new member of your site.....i am a 25 y/o from Grand Junction, Co......i currently own a 38 Gal Tank with a Cascade 300 Filtration System......i have nothing but rocks from our beautiful mountains in my tank.....the only fake thing i have is the gravel......now the fish in my tank are a 7inch Green Terror, 4inch Shark Catfish, 3inch Rafael Catfish, 6inch Common Pleco Algae Eater.....I have had the tank for about 3 yrs now and its wonderful.....i am looking to get an Arowana but i am afraid my Terror will kill it.....I know i am gonna need to get at least a 70 gal tank in the near future because i want an arowana.....well good to get myself out there and nice to meet everyone....BaKed

Welcome to the site, however, this isn't the right spot for your thread. Try the general aquaria section, or perhaps the central/south american cichlid section.

I would like to bring one thing up though! That tank might already be too small for what you have in it. Also, you will need larger then a 70 gallon for an arrowana.

Welcome to MFK!

i never really had a problem with the tank before....i mean i am getting 300gallons an hour through my filter.....so i get fresh water about 8 times an hour.....ive had the tank for about 3years with the same fish and never had a problem....plus the arowana i am buying is only about 3inches long so i think 70 gal will be fine for awhile

Absolutely it will be fine in the beginning! I was thinking more long term though ;)

However, the green terror can get a bit bigger then the 7 inches he/she is now. A 55 gallon would probably be the lowest I would go for a GT.

Just a suggestion. Also, "shark catfish"? Do you happen to have any pics? Are you talking about these guys:

B/c if you are, keep in mind that it is not a freshwater fish....
