just to show as an example of how sometimes odd mixes can work
i have a 1.5" female betta living and thriving with a colony of 11 frontosas (3-6"), a group of 3 leleupi @1", a 4" a. compressicips, 2" yellow lab, 18" american eel, 7" redtail cat (soon to be moved to a pond), 15" ripsaw cat, 9" irwini cat and a 6" peacock eel. the betta and leleupi actualy push the others around.
i assume this mix works because i feed daily, (shrimp to the rtc 2x daily) and clean weekly,
