Making a king cake because it is my first super bowl away from new orleans in 10 years. Coating it with sugar in the colors of each team. Got the recipe from www.foodnetwork.com/kingcake and it looks real good, especially with the bourbon soaked golden raisin and pecan praline filling. Rising now ready for baking in a few hours.

Make small hollow cubes of fried dough, inject them with liquid Fois Gras then heat up for 5 mins in oven at 450°.

i will have to wait until next shopping trip.. i picked up fully cooked sausages by mistake... i cannot mash them enough to be able to surround the egg.. so deviled eggs for today.. but i will definitly make this soon as possible.. i was excited about tasting them..
