Hi, i have purchased Super Ick Cure™ from petsmart today (notsmart) because it seems my oscar has started to have white spots on his fin and i didnt want to chance it getting worse he is very energenic still and playful doesnt seem sick one bit so i think this will go fine. my questions:
1. Has anyone used this medichine before? i got it because it seemed most professional and exspencive and i have money to waste.
2. is this going to dye my silicone on my tank like every other medicine does?
3. are these good directions?
Directions for use
For best results, remove activated carbon or filter cartridge from filter and continue aeration. For each 10 gallons (38 L) of water, empty one packet directly into aquarium. Repeat dose after 48 hours. Wait another 48 hours, then change 25% of the aquarium water and add fresh activated carbon or replace filter cartridge. Caution: Some scaleless fish are sensitive to this medication; therefore, treat at half the normal dose.
4. thanks for looking and helping

Use table salt and heat. Meds are simply last resorts. There is an instruction of how to use salt in Freshwater Disease Guide sticky thread.

Dissolve salt before you add. It's just calcium deposits assuming your water is hard. Salt can be removed via water changes.

It's possible salt can but in small amounts, it isn't that noticeable. It's mostly calcium that does.

Are these the ingredients, benzaldehyde green and providone colloid mixture? Benzaldehyde green is malachite green. Malachite green tends to be a harsh treatment in most species.
