So I generally pride myself in knowing serrasalmidae pretty well, so imagine my surprise when I discover a new pacu species this morning!
Now this is not seen anywhere in scientific literature but instead on a post I found here this morning, detailing a fish that would get to 9+ feet and eats aquarium silicone! Naturally, I was intrigued by this and looked it up, finding images of the monkey from Pirates of the Caribbean.
So now I ask, what the heck is this fish? I dare not bring the op in - I’d much rather one of the “civilized and on topic discussions” we are so prone to having here.
My money is that this is a tetra an 8 year old got and is convinced it’s the biggest monster out there, but I really am curious to see if there is any fish that even slightly matches the description.
