Hey guys I had to share this really cool story about my Severum I hope you all enjoy it!
So my second 55 finished cycling and it was time to move a few fish over. The last fish to be moved was my 2 inch baby Oscar.
A little bit of a backdrop on the Oscar. He was on clearance at PetSmart and super thin. He was so malnourished only his tail worked when I purchased him. Once he was introduced into the new tank, the Severum who is around 4.5 inches protected him and watched him.
As I went to go net the Oscar, the Severum shot across the tank and got between the net and the Oscar. He even faced the net head on and his hands flashed dark black. After seeing this behavior I have decided I will always keep these two together. After some advice on this forum I think I can get away with keeping these two in a 120 together.
Has anyone experienced this super cool protector behavior and does anyone have advice for keeping a Oscar and Severum together.
