I have a SR Arowana it had fungus last month, it was cured with a dose of melafix and pimafix. But after a month again the fungus went back, i cleaned my canister filter and my water quality is good. What should I do for the fungus not to go back?

about a week sir
I would treat for atleast twice that time. Allot of diseases, viruses, parasites and fungi can remain in the tank for quite awhile after the symptoms have subsided. I've had personal experience with this kind of thing happening, mainly ich, but yeah I would treat for a weak after it all disappeared and then within a few days it was back again and in full force. Never got rid of it till I extended the time to 2 weeks after curing it and then miraculously it never came back.

Also bumping up the temp in the tank after the 2 weeks helps to kill off anything remaining in the tank that ya may not see. Just don't heat up the tank "while treating" as all this will do it dilute the effectiveness of the meds. It doesn't have to be a long period either, I only ever did it for maybe a few days at most.

Ohh isee i will try that, what meds did you use?
For me all I ever used was the lil bottles of ichX but yours doesn't appear to be ich. Not quite sure what your guy has, haven't had anything like it myself. Hopefully someone else chimes in with their 2 cents on it and hopefully ya end up getting it diagnosed.

I would assume if your meds helped clear it up the first time that it would still do the job this time. It would just be a matter of prolonging the treatment period and then boosting the temp upto 80°f for a few days after the treatment is done. Atleast from the look of it ya atleast caught it early enough to treat still.

I would treat with 3 gramm aquarium salt per liter
For one or two weeks.
Depends on the progress.
Bumping the temperature up to 30/32 degres is also good.
Make sure your water is very clean?
You can also ad some catapa leafes.
