Not sure were your from but we're I'm from a standard red dragon at that size is $150-175, so I'd say no he's worth it
 
Love how the flower line goes under the eye. From that 1 pic I would say price is good. Now just feed him well and he should be a beast in a few months.

Flowerhorn adults and subadults are around that price here in Calgary, I see a lot of thai silks around for insane prices though.

you weren`t ripped off, I would have paid that for your fish :)
 
I love him he has a lot of character. He even
shares his tank with anything that is smaller and not a threat.
