Super red jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My friend got me a super red jardini from his exporter in thailand and was wondering if there was anyway to get it to hold the red. I heard that some of the SR jardinis grow out of the color. Its definitley different from the regular jardinis though, its about 4in and the fins are reddish and the scale outlines have a red shine to them. Also heard that the color doesnt really come out till about 8in. Let me know if any of you have any experience with this kind of jardini.

I don't really know a whole lot about them but I would just use color enhancing foods and shrimp. I would really love to see a picture though. It sounds awsome. I would count on it keeping its colors though if they dont even get them until thier about 8". It just seems like it wouldn't go from being dull to bright and back to dull.

I've heard the same thing. It's either hormone treatment or food. They'll fade back to the normal color.

Here we go. WOW time to clean the glass hehe:) Also, my friend said they are line bred seen a couple of pics of big ones and they had tons of red. But also have heard out of the 20 or so red jardinis only couple hold the red.
