Hi sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, but I have a L114 red cactus pleco and was wondering if I could have a super red texas with it? Are super red texas really aggressive? My L114 has spines & armor and is really aggressive himself so I was wondering if the two could hang out together? The texas shouldn't see the pleco as a threat and will just leave the pleco alone right?

Also if it works out, does the white pearls get bigger and will there be more pearls as the texas grows up? The texas is 3-4", and I want the red texas to have more pearls just not to the point where the white pearls totally covers up the texas with little spaces between the pearls.

All of the above totally depends on the fish.

Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't. I sold my pair of adult RT's last year and even in a very large tank (350 gallons) a large common pleco managed to spike the large male RT in the mouth, which caused a nasty infection in its mouth, which lead to the male RT dieing a week later. The pair of RT's were placed in the tank with the large pleco against my advice, the new owner decided they knew better.

The odds are a lot better when grown out together, but there's always a risk.

It will be a judgement call on your part.
If the fish are aggressive towards each other, then Its best to seperate them before 1 gets seriously like injuried, like what happen in Rd.'s case.
If they dont bother eachother, which is most likely going to be the case, escpecially if the pleco is already settled and the Texas is introduced. They should be fine and with good care you Red Texas will color up very nicely as he grows. Most young fish are rather bland until they "blossom" you could say.
