DALLAS TEXAS
So i planned on breeding flowerhorns until i saw this srt. Huge male 12 inches. So i plan on buying him , due to the fact that he is badass and one pissed off fish. Anyone have any ideas of breeding of a male red texas? like what is good crosses , is he even likely to breed? please get back to asap i plan on picking him up today

so would two flowerhorns breeding be better or could i make something work with the srt?

At 12" it'll be a challenge to pair him up with a female. However, if you're up for the challenge and have the space, go for it.
You can try to cross him with a nice female fh with bold flower markings, tear drops and a red base. That would be nice.

you are going to try breeding that fish ? lol at 12 inches and aparentley he has a real agressive streak he will most likely kill any female you put with him unless you get a even bigger female that has an agressive nature as well and if that is the case both can end up wounded and or dead would have to have one heck of a aquarium good luck

He could always breed them through an egg crate divider. You place the slate on the females side right by the divider and have a power head from the males side create a current towards the slate. I remember seeing it being successfully before.
