i recently bought a srt and ive noticed an egg shape/colored object hanging from where his wastes come out what is it and what medication can i use to treat this...hes not eating very well either sorry for the crappy pics my first post with pics

well if you have a quarantine tank i'd isolate him mabe a salt bath and up the temp a bit........mabe upping the temp is just for ich. anyway i've always used melafix/pimafix in addition to salt baths. but i think you may have a parasite.....i'm no expert on fish butts. Maracide says for external parasites....i've never gotten them b4. but it may be internal as well. the jungle labs parasite clear says external/internal......but they aren't liquid you have to dissolve them like denture tabs.
If you ask me, neither of the two. This looks like internal organ prolapse. The pics are still a little blurry. Epsom salt bath is the treatment for prolapse.Ak-Kronic;2894515; said:
