can someone explain the difference betwen a super red and a and a reg red belly if you can please use a pic to show

Only difference is Super Red is a wild red belly Piranha and regular red is a domestic tank raised piranha. I have around 30 super reds and all from Peruvian Amazon. Because of the south amerian sun and diet they have bright red bellies and depending on the water conditions some supers have black masks like elongs some has bluish upper body some snake skin like. They are more agressive and in constant move and more cannibalistic

Hmm, that is a common misconception. A super is from a secluded part of the river, hence the differnet diet etc. Regular reds are a general species found throught the rivers of northern south america. You can have wild reds and tank raised reds.

i purchased super reds when i first got my batch of p's....they started out with bright red stomachs but from being out of their habitat and with a different diet they often lose that bright red stomach and it seems to dull out and they look just like regular reds....i have seen this in alot of cases also from my expeirence tank raised reds arent as skittish as wild reds....mine is a killer and loves to chase me through the glass but the other 2 wild reds i had were scared to death of me.....so really i would suggest regular reds because they are cheaper and they all wind up looking the same anyway so why not get more p for your money.....lol
