Australia
this tank of mine is made of laminated glass.
Laminated glass is 3 times as heavy and 2 times as strong as normal glass.
my question is; is this a commonly used glass in larger tanks?
is this a common thing or is this tank simpily amazing?
it is an australion made aquariums r us tank.

Well i am sorry to tell you but i have worked in the glass industery for 16 years and laminated glass is not as strong as plate glass and is not any heavier . But it is one cool tank i have thought about building.

it is stronger in the way of shock resistance.
sydney opera house, some of the roof is glass, and it is not normal glass it is laminated glass.
It was put there to survive the strange heather of New south wales, Australia.

it is the ply or layered affect that makes it stronger

Laminated glass is strong, but it doesn't weigh any more than a solid pane of the same dimensions.

Awesome tank, what is going in it?
