Just bought a talapia from the asian supermarket and was wondering how to train it on pellet or any type of frozen food

The live fish in the Asian markets around here are usually in pretty rough shape and aren't expected to live very long so be careful as it could be harboring diseases and parasites.....that said,it should not be too hard to get it to eat pellets as it should be quite hungry and ready to eat just about anything.

i picked out one that was in pretty good condition and is showing her aggression now with the other talapia i have in there that will be removed soon

Update on the talapia shes alone in a 40 breeder and about 1.5 pounds. She got some red marks on her so i moved her to a 10 gallon to medicate easier and dosed API General Cure, Melafix and E.M Erythromycin. On the third day of medication and the red spots are going away but will post pictures when it was the worst

That's a lucky tilapia... I thought about doing the same thing when I saw some Jade gobies at an Asian market but I just don't have....

I've had the jaded gobies from the market before, they don't do well cause they need brackish water to survive and starve to death.
