superworms are those mealworm variants that grow much bigger and their beetle forms have a red carapace that grows about one inch long. are the beetles okay for feeding to insectivorous fish? or are they useless (except for breeding) after metamorphosis?

nobody knows if their poisonous/ indigestible or whatnot??

I feed superworms...usually gone before they turn into beetles.

Give it a try: I seem to remember stomping one that I saw on the floor and feeding it to the fish. They're not poisonous. Just pinchy. I'd kill the beetle first.

Don't know bout superworm beetle coz like others said, never survived that long to morph.. but I've fed mealworm beetle & my flowerhorn loves it.. lol

the exos of that beetle is so hard, only big fishes can munch on them,i dont recomend it personally, theres a lot of ways how to feed our precious fish properly, you cant try crickets

you mean can try, right?

i breed crickets already.

i am wondering because im thinking of breeding superworms. they only turn into beetles if you put them by themselves with no food or water. that is actually an advantage since u can choose when to pupate them and also how many you want to actually breed.

im just thinking that i could put the beetles to some other use after they fulfilled their original duties.

and i only keep fish that can handle a good crunch. superworms are pinchy too though, aren't they?
