i have a 3” albino silver that recently ate cut up superworms. What i did was i chopped the sw in half and let it float and then the arowana would eat it. 12 hours ago the arowana ate the head half of the superworm and up until now he still looks bloated.. :( will he be alright? Will he be able to digest it or would it cost problem and eventually kill him? Im starting to worry. Thanks

Hard to tell if it’ll get better. Would just reduce stress and leave it alone and don’t feed. Wait it out. Keep the water clean. Can add some Epsom salt 1 tbsp per 5g to help in moving it along.

Alright thanks. No feeding until his bloat disappears. Will be not feeding the head part as well.

They are but food can get stuck even in the wild.

In the 'Feeding your Arowana' sticky at top of this sub-forum I believe it recommends not to give meal worm or super worm to your baby Aro until at least 5 or 6 inches, I think due to the exoskeleton might cause digestive issues. Hope it comes out alright; kno4te's epsom salt suggestion should help.
