If i start a 150 gallon tank,do i have to add support under the floor to support the tank when its filled with water. My house really isent that old not even 30 years old yet.I heard if u have a newer house ur house could probaly support a bigger tank.

depends where you put the tank!!

second floor then deffinate yes
garage i would say no
in the house on wood floors or tile then i would say yes also!!

You shouldn't have a problem, a few things you can do though. Make sure you tank is placed perpindicular to the floor joist. Also if ya can place it next to an outside wall or next to a load bearing wall.

If you have access to the floor joist below where the aquarium is placed, it's not a bad to go ahead and beef up the floor joist. You can do this by adding more joist or "sistering" the existing joist.
