Supporting your hobby

I work full time as a draftsman/designer going on 30 years now. I have two part-time weekend jobs.
We are on "Baby Step 7" if you know what that is.
I just budget in money for my hobbies.
Just this year cut out a lot of hobbies. I am now committed to just three hobbies - Sailing, Fishing and my Fish in Tanks & Ponds.
I sold all my pigs, rabbits, chicken's, ducks and emus. That alone freed up over $200 a month in feed costs.
I am thinking about selling most of my RC Airplanes and putting that money into my fish hobby.
I have a lot of stuff I am going to start selling.

Yea, I had one beer too many one night and ordered 4 Emu eggs off eBay.
I made an incubator from an old foam ice chest and hatched them.
Don't drink and eBay.
I ordered 100 quail eggs once also, they sent me 120 eggs and over 100 hatched....
I had quail everywhere!

Well now, that is quite the story.
Did you have to get any permit for them?

nope
The quail were coturnix they are not native game birds, so no permit required in Texas,
Not sure about the Emus... LOL

Man they're always looking for idiots who can swing a hammer and read a tape measure so it wasn't all too hard, the company I work with has the corner on the bourbon industry. If you make spirits and they have to be barrel aged then we are the ones who build the warehouses

That's pretty dope. I've always loved good carpentry, I'm guessing they pay the idiots to swing hammers around?

Yup I swing them hammers but I mostly build the ricks (the set up that the barrels sit on) and I rig for the crane operator
