Suprise Catfish

Well my lovely wife let me get a fish today (she said no about 20 times, but finally caved). Anyway, we bought it as a channel cat, but my son and I knew that something was different about it. Anyway, turns out it is a amur catfish. Resident of Asia. Don't know too much about it now except for the fact that it is relatively rare in the hobby. Here it is. Anybody got some info on this thing? I know it gets about a foot and can be fiesty, but other than that?????

lol how come i never find rare fish mislabelled as common cheap fish?
closest ive come kis Siamese Barred mislabeled as Asian Bumblebee and the 2nd is a common nickname for the 1st

Ours hid a lot. Only came out at night. Staple was primarily flake, pellots, mysis. Not much personality. Got horrible heater burns and died from nasty fungal infection.

I got a megladorus for eight bucks when it was labeled as a striped rafeal.

Ummm.. Sounds like a great fish. Thanks for the info. He'll be going in a heaterless tank (natives) so at least I'll avoid the burns.
