my ice blue zebra cichlid who had been holding and i stripped just gave me 23 more babies!

When we first stripped her, we thought we had got them all but being the first time we had ever stripped a fish,we were scared of hurting her and everything. So we didn't end up getting them all. We left her for a few days just to see if she would maybe release the rest on her own but she hadn't in the last 3 days. Thinking I would get only a couple more out of her, I pulled her out of the tank into the bowl, with one little swipe on her throat, 24 popped out. One died soon after. But now I am the proud owner of 38 babies.

The local fish store will definitely be getting some babies when they get older.

This is before I put them in the tank with the other babies. Right now they're just in a small tank until they get a little bigger and the other tank gets through it's cycle. As you can see they have their little stripes already. They're not too much of swimmers yet. Randomly one or two will shoot off across the tank swimming but mainly they hang out in a huge group on the plants or under the plants.

Thanks! I'm hoping I end up getting a male that is normal color out of it. I love the male I have being Albino but I would love to have the coloring as well. (:
