was at the local china LFS the other day and saw a quick easy fix to those filth layered, non-surface-agitated tanks that some may have....
they simply used a powerhead, typically used to create current, flipped it upside down so the intake was up, built an intake out of a water bottle so water was always coming from the top 2" of the tank - and bam....
current + surface recycling....
am i missing something here? or is this a pretty good ghetto solution to a sometimes big problem?
