Surface dweller stocking ideas needed

I am currently stocking a 20g with dwarf SA cichlids.

It will have a couple rams, a couple cockatoo cichlids, cory cats and a bristlenose pleco.

I would also like to include some surface fish and had considered a butterfly fish but would prefer to stick with SAs in this tank.

Any Ideas?

I'm with hatchets, marble or silver. If you do by all means cover that tank completely, they jump.

i realize that you want sa,, but something like sailfin mollies, or other livebearers, andd non SA dwarf gouramis would be great.

If you are going to have both ram and apisto, I would suggest only one of each or one pairs of ram and one pair of apisto. These fish often have issues with terrortiry and might constantly fight their own kind. My bolivian ram and ram do not get along too well in my 60g. Even though it is not always the case, but ram and apisto often fight with their own kind and the weaker ones will get pick on very often. Oh, and for your question, I will personally pick hatchet as well.

Bonzo thanks for the heads up on the conspecific agro on the dwarf cichlids I will keep that in mind.
