Surface feeding

Is it possible t train your bichirs to take pellets from the surface?
I put some hikari gold in to try and make my datnoid it them, the ornate bichir came up and took one. If my ornate that spends most of the day hiding will come up for a pellet would it be possible to train my senegal and delhezi? as they do spend a majority of their time surfing around the tank or along the surface

it actually is. my smaller bichirs eat hikari floating pellets when i drop them to feed my hujeta gar. they end up swimming up and snatching them before my hujetas can get to them

Some bichirs just do it on their own. My del and ornate are always swimming up when i feed floaters. Sometimes my moke too. I didn't train them to do it... they just did it

Well as of today all 3 of my Bichirs, Del, Sen and Ornate all actually take hikari gold floating pellets. I have yet to get my datnoid to accept pellets. maybe he will follow the bichirs example

my sen would always come up to the surface and feed when i used to feed him the floating freeze-dried brine shrimp. but since i started giving him frozen bloodworms and stuff he just sits back and makes me do all the work lol.
