Surface Skimmers

Anyone try em? Do they work?
These are the skimmers you hook up to a canister or power filter to skim off stagnant water scum from the surface. Hagen and Eheim both make a variation of it.

Yeah, I have used them before. They work pretty well - as long as that isn't your only form of filtration/skimming ya know. Overall, there is nothing wrong with keeping them as an addition. I like 'em.
