Over the past 3 or 4 months my RTGG has developed a bit if a habit, one that has me scurrying about on my hands and knees mopping up water off the floor and wiping my tank down. I dont know what triggers it but just once in a while when she comes to the surface to breathe air she will flip. One splash of that almighty thick tail and whoosh, water everywhere. She's a very placid fish and dosen't spook easily but something's alarming her. One thing i have noticed is that she seems very wary of taking floating food whereas when she was younger it didn't bother her one bit. She seems really wary of coming to the surface. I'm thinking that it could maybe be the fact that she sees her own reflection in the surface if the water when she comes for air and food. It's the only thing i can think of that might trigger this behaviour. Anyone else have fish that do this?

My Arowana does like to do this but he does it only if someone comes near the tank... Like he is frightened when you come but as soon as i show him my face he gets all happy and calms down.
