Canada... i wish.
lol so when my lap surfaces for air he acts like a whale jumping out of the water. my water level is an inch below the rim and when he surfaces, his whole body comes out of the water. haha im pretty sure he isnt trying to jump because i've had the lid open numerous times for a good 40 min unattended and he's never jumped... so does anyone have a poly that does this?

wen my bichirs do it they swim slwoly then a few inche from the top the like sprint someimtes lift a bit outa the water which is kind of an issue but ive got a hood so whatevs

lol its freaking crazy to watch haha. ima try to get a vid of it.

Some of mine surface like bullets because they know they are at risk of being nipped by a grumpy arowana for invading his territory.

My Endies also do this I lowered the water level about 5 inches they are like bullets the lower jaws glide to the top the Congicus and the Endies make a dash smooth but powerful.

This is how they are able to know the location in the wild as some will jump up two feet or more above the water to gulp air. Then they cast a net to catch the bichir. I think I read somewhere in Aualog polypterus book.
