I just bought myself a nice surge protector and as I was taking it out of the wrapping I noticed a limited warranty paper. I quickly read through all the fine print/details and noticed that it mentions aquariums are not covered in the event of a failure.

OK, I know the chance of a surge is unlikely and I know in the event of a surge the chance of it failing is unlikely. However, I just thought it was interesting to note and be aware of. Being informed is being prepared.

Anyone happen to know which surge protector brands do cover aquariums?

If you own the house get a whole house surge protector.

It just means you can't sue them for the value of your tanks and fish. They're scared, that's all. Keep it dry and it should function perfectly well.
