I am doin a straight suriname biotope I need to know what species to start collecting, don't worry about the size of the fish as they get bigger the tanks get bigger, finally ending up in a pond

Why would you opt to do a specific biotope before you even know what fish are indigenous to that area?
I know of alot of species that come out of Suriname and like everything I see out of there but I don't know ALL, might be something I'm missin but I really need in my collection, closed mouthes don't get fed, you don't know unless you ask
