Surinames are awesome. Live born. You could start it off in a 20gal long. I used melamine and lexan or lucite I think it's called, basicly real sturdy plexi-glass, it's been awhile I can't remember the exact name, and build double decker enclosures 4ft long 2ft deep and 4ft tall with a 'shelf' half way up. If memory serves me right try to target about 82 degrees in the cold section, with a hot spot, and range inbetween for it to pick it's desired temp. It's better to slow grow them, they're definatly not burms or retics. They can be a little nippy, or act annoyed it's just how they role but if you handle it right and frequent it should be cool. If you get the choice, females get bigger than males. When it comes to feeding get them on prekilled thawed rats asap. Don't feed them anything thicker than the thickest spot on there body. You said you've kept snakes so you probably know most of this already. Get some pictures up when you can I love Surinames. Also, do you know if he does anything with Argentine's? See if he can price out a wee little female if he has them. Good luck with it - N
