I acquired 3 red fin blue loaches a couple of days ago and today I discovered they came with some surprise guests...

Hellow Mr Ich, meet Mr CuSO4...

Oh well, dosing the 300 with Coppersafe now...Does anyone know how fast ich reproduces at 76 degrees? My tank is at that temperature and not going to raise it higher(I don't think I can with my current heaters(550 Watts worth in total).

76 sounds like a breeding ground for ich

I was asking for the length of the reproductive cycle at 76 so I know how to gage progress or lack of progress...

So far the africans and plecos are not affected by ich, only the loaches but I want to know when to expect the first round of ich on other fish if copper is not effective.

48 hours in temps between 75-79 deg.

You really should consider raising your temperature. why do you want to wait for it to cycle and spread further? ur just going to end up with everyone full of it in a heart beat. its what people are trying to tell you.

Actually I am not sitting around and waiting. The tank was treated with Copper safe when I spotted the spots. The medicine should be around for a month(unless I change water and do not re dose). I was just wondering when I would expect a second round if there should be any.
