Woke up this morning to find out that there were a pair of ducks in my backyard swimming in the pool! Haha looks like they're a couple (male & female). Been here for about 5 hours so far! Pretty uncommon for the area that I live in. They probably came from balboa park which is a 20 minute drive from me so possible from there? Will they ever leave???

If your backyard is fit for them they might stay and lay eggs!

there's some awesome recipes online you can find for roast duck or stew

that's the only right answer imo

Will they leave?...just go out there and jump into the pool.

Meh...no big deal to me,I've had Canada geese come in and hang out in my yard one year.

That's a pretty good suggestion. I bet it works every time.

Last year there was pair that landed on my pool every day for about a week then I didn't see them any more. I don't even know what they eat. I guess I could've gone to petsmart and looked for Purina duck chow but it never occurred to me.

Haha they flew away together at about 9:30 pm! Light was still on in the backyard and they were walking around until they randomly flew away But there's duck crap all around my backyard....😑😑

Duck dung is bad enough but imagine the poo piles that Canada geese leave around...its like dog poop.

Decided to do some spring yard work this morning and started by dethatching the front yard. Started raking and heard some scurrying in the bush so I watched for a rabbit to shoot out but a duck flew out. She has eggs under the bush so hopefully she comes back.
