Hello, I just recently purchased a black piranha that is 3.5 inches. it is swimming around actively and eats fine. I have an aerator the length of his tank (10 gallons for quarantine reasons) and the heat is around 79-80 degrees. He has plenty of hiding spaces and uses them when it needs to. after a week of having him i noticed his gills were flared out a little bit and it was very noticeable. Is gill curl possible at such a young age? and if its a fungus what product should I use? I have noticed he likes swimming in a downward position into the aerator could his be a sign? Thank you so much

Hard to say. Gill curl usually due to poor water quality and small tanks. Maybe post a pic.
