hi all,

im looking at setting up a 5000 l pond (1320 Gallons)

the average winter temps her are 9 to 18 deg c (48 - 64 deg f)

i know some people have ponds in this climate and i know that not all the fish you have over there i can get here in oz but just trying to get a general idea

it has been suggested that texas, convicts, and salvini's will work

any other ideas

cheers

koi and goldfish all i can think of

I wouldn't risk any CA cichlids in those temps, def. not salvini, convict or texas. Some Australoheros, crenicichla and gymnogeophagus species live far down south (uruguay, argentina) and can survive and breed in low winter temperatures.
