probably around 10 inches... aggresion is hit or miss. some pikes are real aggressive and some can be pretty peaceful.

my sveni that i had got along fine with alot of other cichlids and didnt even bother the 3 inch convict that was alot smaller.

Thanks alot!!!I just picked up another one today and they seem to get along fine(thank God)so now i have a 4" and a 3" incher. The 4" happily accepts earthworms, but the new guy is being a real hard head.Hopefully he will learn from the other Pike.

Agree 100% on the hit or miss aggression. My first pike was C. lepidota and it got along with everything. I had a salvini cichlid and a pair of fire mouths with it and he/she (I was never able to determine what sex it was) never bothered anyone. The fire mouth pair would actually chase the pike that was atleast 2" bigger than them. Now for the other side of that coin.... It may be just because they are a pair but my C. Frenata tollerate NONE! They go APE S#%T when anything goes in their respective "glass box". Shortly after I got them I got a fairly large 4" - 5" male convict. As soon as I droped him in the tank they absolutely freaked. By the time I was able to catch the convict it was pretty much to late. One eye was gone, one of his gill covers was almost torn off, tail almost gone and scales missing all over his sides and all of this because even while I had a net in the tank trying to catch the convict they still would not stop attacking him. Needless to say I have never again atempted to put anything with them. So you will just have to try and see what happens.
