i noticed a pit on one side of my tank the other day, i thought it was the work of my bichirs. well last night i saw her scooping out sand from the pit. her belly is starting to get pinker than it has been before, is this a sign of her wanting to breed? she's the only pike in the tank so it mush be her biological clock ticking if so. i dont thing ill add a male to the tank, pretty crowded now, but may have to set up something in a year or so for her. are sveni easy to breed? i haven't seen much in lines of pikes breeding much on here.

Pikes, like most cichlids want a territory, lots of them dig to create borders to their territory. Sveni are quite easy to spawn, I have had lots of pairs spawn and raise fry in the past.
