recently ive seen this saltwater conversion kit for biorbs.that looks interesting.what could you put in one?

a shrimp. Not much else. Bioorbs are not too good, and have pretty bad filtration

I totaly agree. Saltwater is not to much different then freshwater with fish only systems, but when it comes to corals and inverts then you really need more. And keeping the best water you can means good filtration, WD and skimmer. It also means RO water and a very good Salt Mix. Alot of planning goes into reef tanks, and biorbs are very small and would not be good for coral that demand prestine water.
