In the caiman den
Here is one for the guys. Im on vacation in sanibel FL. I see in SW alot of fish that look like small longnose gar. BUT they are bright colored. Its wierd. They look and act like gar, except they dont breech. And they have neon colors on them.
Anybody know what they are?

gimmie time. on vacation dang it!!! have alot of pics to go through

thats the guy right there. never seen them before. cool little creatures.

Those guys come up into freshwater too. Some local fisherman have been catching them near me, and I'm about 500 miles inland. They apparently come up the Mobile into the Tombigbee, then into the Tennessee via the Tenn-Tom waterway, and finally into the Cumberland either via the canal at Grand Rivers or the long way up the Ohio and back.
