P.I.
just got into SW!!! I did a nano tank rescue that got me into it. my cousin had a 10 gallon nanocube dx. the pump died for about a month now turbo snail is still alive and his little damsel witch im so surprised with since the was no filtration for about a month w/o any water changes.

Please correct me i did somthing wrong. i cleaned the tank the best i could just broke up the rock so i can position it to my liking and stired the sand around left about 15% of the water in it during the move just cleaned out the sponges from the filtration and put a new pump in, put new saltwater in. im hoping that i left enough water to skip the whole cycle process and get to adding some corals but im holding off to be safe.

if u have any advice for a newbie SW guy please give me some tips!!! i look forward to increasing my knowledge on saltwater and corals!!!

thanks in advance!!!

I just gave you the same piece of advice in your other thread, but wait.

You're going to hear that a lot when you ask questions about what you can put in your tank.

Give it a week or two to stabilize and get comfortable before you start throwing more stuff in there, you'll be happier in the long run.

one piece of advice I will give you now though, if you're planning on going heavy on corals, don't put any more fish in the tank. Fish are messy and increase the maintenance you'll need to do on your nano by a ton. the majority of the nitrate you're going to get will likely be from feeding your fish, and in a 10g it adds up way faster than you're going to be happy about doing waterchanges to account for. So for your own sake, no more fish. Plus in that small a space a damsel will likely harass anything else you put in there to death.

Stick to easy corals in that small a volume, it's worth ordering fancy mushrooms and zoanthids from online vendors to keep your tank interesting and low maintenance rather than getting more fragile stuff from your LFS that just isn't likely to do well in a tank that's so hard to keep stable for the sake of having something with color in your tank.

Oh yeah, my $200 finger coral died on me and I went nuts!
