Is there any inherent reason one should not feed foods from Salt water to Fresh water fish?

I am well aware that feeding Fresh water foods to Salt water fish results in overall compromised nutrition.

On the other hand, I have been raising corydoras fry on cyclops for years, with no problems, vibrant colors, and perfect schooling behavior, and my Satanoperca and Cleithracara cichlids seem to relish frozen Krill and Mysis shrimp.

So, I suppose experience would say there is no problem feeding foods of marine origin to FW fish, but if anyone has any input, please feel free to contribute.

i have feed SW fish FW feeder fish and they're perfectally fine.

I feed my goldfish mackerels and krills with no issues. It just comes down to proper nutrition. FW and SW foods are almost similar.

for the most common foods it probably doesnt matter as long as your meeting the nutritional requirements of the animal. personally i wouldnt feed corys exclusively cyclopeezes, being a small shrimp like crustacean its probably extremely high in protein so i would want add vegatables too.

Wow really? That's interesting, never heard of goldfish on such a carnivorous diet. Do they readily accept it the first time?

I just incorporate it in the gel foods, Nabbig. It's not their natural food but as it includes amino acids needed by the goldies, the goldfish enthusiasts include tuna, mackerel or sardines in the recipe. No tomato sauce or mustard. My goldies were wary at first but began to wolf it down.
