I would think so. Unless they absorb mass amounts of chemicals from long term underground living.

We get some down here, I like the sound. Gives the dogs something to chase as well.

They may be too big for my little guys so far. In two more months maybe. I haven't seen them yet. I'll bet if you clip their wing they would make a good top water bait with the ruckus they make.

Exercise extrem caution feeding garden critters to the fish......

Instopped it. I firmly belive an earthworm killed my beloved barred midas.
