Well to be quite honest your tanks are very highly stocked but as long as your water is fine then I guess you got it under control. It is a slight possibility that the sweeplips felt a little surrounded with all thouse fish and died from stress. "Just a possibility".

I've never heard of anyone having success with raising juvenile sweetlips in aquariums. They seem to be really sensitive until they get some size on them. Curious what species it was and what size.

My friends sweet lips lasted all of 4 months and came up missing. in your case the bigger fish may have eaten him based on available/lack of tank space.

If it was a Harlequin Sweetlips the tang stressed it out with the damsels. Sweetlips are very shy, timid fish. When they are small they shouldn't be housed with fast moving agressive eaters like damsels.

i forget wat kind it is but it was white brown with small spots on him and this fish ate well and was bout 6" then he was floating by the intake dead no bite marks and true my takes are slightly ovr stocked but im building a saltwater pond and im converting a 55 into sw so ill will hav more room

im not a rich brat i work for my fish im a lifeguard and my dad a contractor and i work my ass off for him and im not close to being rich
