Hey guys i live in southwest florida, more specifically the port charlotte area. I have been fishing a lake full of mayans but this season when i went to fish it they have it closed off due to some construction. So what I wanna know is if anybody in the SWFL area has a few places they can point me to where i can catch some non-natives? i just like catching and id'ing fish that you wouldnt normally see. thanks for any help in advance!

yeah i fish all kinds of canals im more towards englewood/port charlotte and i have only found that one lake that has mayans but like i said you cant even get to it now. i have heard lots of oscars and jags and all kinds of other stuff in the ft. myers area but thats a long drive just to fish for little dinky fish lol.
