One of my dovii is starting to show signs of a swim bladder problem. It is extremely aggressive (which is normal) and swims just fine when it wants to but when he is resting he seems to just sit on the bottom. He is eating normal and acting normal. He still attacks the glass when I walk up to tank. He still attacks the divider when he sees the female on the other side. I have read all the potential causes but I'm not sure what did it. He is constantly inhaling air as he attacks the surface when eating. Sometimes I think he doesn't even care for the food but rather just wants to attack whatever hits the water. Often times he misses the food when he attacks the surface. There are some leftover fry still in the tank from their last spawn. I don't think it's constipation as he is on the same diet he has been on for a couple years. What are the chances that the cause of this is that he is simply inhaling air on a daily basis? Should I try some epsom salts anyway? Any other suggestions?
