Any ideas why a ray might hold their tail straight up in the air? She has been swimming funny...swimming backwards with her tail up in the air or over her head. She was very thin when I got her, she made a turn around and fattened up nicely then has since not been eating quite as much and swimming funny. All my other fish and rays are eating like garbage disposals and show no issues at all. Any thoughts?

Possibly backed up, and not passing food. Definitely irritation of some sort.

Marble, I thought it may be stress. She's about 10.5" and was skin and bones when I got her. Put her in my 6x6 and my male hystrix immidiately took interest. Not to stress her anymore I sectioned her off in my 125 grow out. She bounced back and got fat. Then one day started acting funny, I took out the section wall and opened the rest of the tank to her thinking she might feel tight. Still acting funny I wondered also if she is just looking for more room to swim.
