Just been to egypt and did loads of snorkelling as my hotel had it's own jetty that dropped you off on a reef that dropped from 2-3ft to about 200-300ft deep in the space of a few steps. absolutely amazing and tried very hard to get some pics but i'm afraid i'm absolutely useless at with an underwater camera! i can't stress to you just how bad my photos (done on a throwaway £5 or $10 underwater camera) are compared to watch i actually saw. from massive lionfish to 2ft triggers to hundred strong shoals of damsels to huge puffers it really is incredible.

these are some of my better attempts. anyone else been? what was incredible was i reckon only about 10% of the people staying at the hotel even went in the sea let alone snorkelled!

because of the great variations in depth it ranged from prob 20-32 degrees celsius. basically saw every type of trigger, butterfly, chromis, blenny, angel, surgeon, puffers and boxfish, grouper and damsel known to man. also saw some turtles, rays, parrotfish, pipefish, tuna, clowns, a few morays, and many more!

Cool pics. I've always wanted to go swimming along the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Crazy how such a small percentage of people @ your hotel didn't bother going in. Oh well, there loss.

Beautiful pics!

It's always nice to get a compliment from a man who quite literally swims with monsters and gets paid for it!

Awesome! I am going to Belize in Aug, its the second biggest reef in the world I am going to have sooooo many pics!
