Switched the substrate in the Dovii tank..

Switched the substrate over to black again. I love the way his colors pop even more. The bad part is now it's extremely hard to get a good pic without the flash.

I’ve always thought black substrate brings out nice colors in most fish, nice looking dovii btw!

I liked the light sand with a black background better. Your Dovii's colors were fine imo. With black substrate and background both, it's just too dark. It's your tank though, if it makes you happy go with it. Anyways...nice Dovii.

After my first few pics I thought the same.. His colors are better with the dark substrate.. especially in person but I'm seriously debating on going back to the sand

Try a mix maybe? Of black and light sand?

i remember when this dovii was only like 4", always had some sick colour, but now it's ridiculous lol.

Thanks guys.. He's definitely colorful. It's just so hard to get a good pic of him anymore it drives me crazy though.
