So i’m a newbie and I apologize for any rash mistakes i’ve made as I didn’t know any better. Anyways i’ve got 3 fish in my 75 gallon tank and they’ve been doing perfect. Prior to adding the fish I let my tank sit for 3 days before adding them and I use stress coat and stress zyme. I tested my water and i have .5 ammonia and 0 nitrate and nitrites. I heard that using seachem prime and stability helps out with the cycling process or even API quick start. Which ones do you recommend and will there be any drawbacks to switching products or not. Also which should I use and when to apply them.

I personally only used Seachem Prime for a dechlorinator but some members have used Seachem Stability for starting a cycle. I believe the Seachem Stability is bacteria in a bottle. You could add some to kick start your cycle and use the Seachem Prime for water changes during the cycling process.

I used stability every time I start a new tank- along with seachem safe -

Will there be any drawbacks if i buy some prime and stability and begin using that instead of stress coat and stress zyme?

No drawbacks. In fact, you would be better off using the Seachem products for your fish in cycle. Your ammonia test is reading toxic ammonia + safe ammonium = total ammonia.

Stress Zyme is not the same bacteria found in Stability. Stress Zyme reduces organic matter in the aquarium (just like Rid-x septic cleaner). Stability uses ammonia and nitrite eating bacteria. Stress Coat removes chlorine and chloramines, but doesn't make the ammonia from chloramines safe. Find out if your tap water uses chlorine or chloramines from your water report.

alright so basically if i switch products it’ll be a lot better and help out with the cycle and like i should apply these what my next water change? or whenever I switch out my canister media

Also would using quick start help i heard that’s the beneficial bacteria like using all stress coat stress zyme and quick start or the seachem products like don’t they all mainly do the same purpose except for prime adding ammonia and like nitrite removal

I just did a little research on API QuickStart and yes it's bacteria in a bottle so should kick start the aquarium cycle similar to Seachem Stability.
